Teens (depending on maturity level) are invited to train with the Adults. All teens are taught the Parker Kenpo system. All New students are required to go through the the Mini- Introductory Program. The student must earn the right to wear a uniform. There are four Belt Programs where student will progress from beginner to Black Belt.
Teens also participate in the Super Star Program. We have a Youth Council where the youth participate in community activities. The Leadership Board of the Youth Council is made up of our teenagers with an Adult/Parent Advisor. Parents are expected to attend the Adult/Parent Council Meetings.
The Teen program at UMAATC focus's on creating positive leaders. All teens are required to be alcohol and drug free. They are expected to stay out of gangs. They are to set an positive example at school, at home, and in the community.
We offer special Teen themed seminars such as Teen Dating Safety, Gang Awareness, Drug Education, Safety on the Internet. Contact us if you would like more information or you would like to schedule one of these seminars for your youth organization.
