Based in Denton, Texas, UMAATC has been providing quality instruction of the Martial Arts, KenpoKarateand Self-Defense in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Metroplex since 1985.

RECENT EVENTS!!
Governor Rick Perry proclaimed October 11, 2008 official Martial Arts Day in Texas and Denton Mayor Mark Burroghs recognized October 24, 2008 as National Martial Arts Day. Mayor Burroughs visited with UMAATC students and parents during the recent Kick-a-Thon. See News & Press Room section of our web site to view the Proclamations!
To achieve these ends, the UMAATC is committed to educating and providing assistance to the public concerning Martial Arts, self defense, fitness and health, rape and domestic violence awareness and prevention, gang awareness and prevention, drug and alcohol awareness and prevention, and anti-terrorism awareness and prevention. The UMAATC is conducting research on these topics to find better ways to respond to these issues. The UMAATC also provides financial assistance, through grants and donations, for youths and adults who cannot afford professional martial arts instruction. The Center offers free academic tutoring and mentoring programs for elementary through high school students and offers assistance to those who need to obtain the GED. UMAATC has a Martial Artists Against Drugs program. The Center offers public services for local communities with benefits to outside non-profit charities, and seeks to establish a college scholarship program.
